Financial Planner or Associate Planner

Our client is a highly skilled professional boutique community of wealth advisors and support staff who serve the upper echelon of business leaders around the country. General Description

The Financial Planner or Associate Planner will understand our clients’ situations and craft personalized plans, tailored to each client’s unique circumstances. They work with the team to provide and vet innovative solutions and ideas. The Financial Planner is a leader in our client engagement process. They will ensure that the client experience is seamless and consistent.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepare financial plans and recommendations for prospective and existing clients
  • Capture holistic snapshots for our clients’ finances
  • Identify areas for improving clients financial standing (i.e., tax efficiency, Monte Carlo improvement, asset location and asset allocation enhancements, estate planning modifications, etc.)
  • Identify and build repeatable processes for scale
  • Integrate investments and insurance holistically within each plan
  • Participate in client meetings for financial plan design, presentation and implementation
  • Monitor industry trends and legislation impacting the financial planning industry
  • Ensure compliance requirements are implemented and followed

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • CFP® designation or qualified to sit for the CFP® exam
  • Ability to think strategically and execute methodically through the entire client relationship
  • Willingness to roll up your sleeves and do whatever is necessary; general manager/owner mentality
  • Ability to analyze data, diagnose client needs and provide recommendations for a relevant solution
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment. Comfortable working through ambiguous situations.
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills with a keen ability to present complex ideas in a clear, compelling and concise fashion.
  • Willingness to work outside position parameters and think creatively to provide the highest level of client service.
  • A self-starting team player with a passion for putting the client first.
  • A tenacious problem solver that tackles any task with conviction and energy.

Client Service Associate

Our firm is a dynamic, boutique wealth management firm with a mission to educate the community with all things financial and empower others to live their best lives. They design a personalized plan and help clients execute it by safely navigating their financial journey and having meaningful adventures along the way. The firm provides comprehensive, fee-based financial planning, investment advisory solutions, education funding strategies, holistic wealth management, retirement planning and risk management. The Client Service Associate will be disciplined in supporting the execution of all recommendations for clients as they move through the planning process with the advisor. They will also be responsible for helping to maintain client relationships by providing a high level of customer service to enhance the overall client experience. The Client Service Associate will be innovative and solutions-oriented throughout their interactions internally and externally, and able to thrive, adapt and move chaos to order.

  • Tracking of production through each stage of execution, as well as pipeline management
  • Managing internal communication to ensure accuracy and preparedness, and oversee team workflow
  • Coordinate and prepare for weekly team meetings
  • Provide accountability to the team, and help audit time and energy of advisor
  • Help to create the desired culture and environment for the team and clients as guided by the team’s core values
  • Proactive communication with the client throughout the implementation process
  • Pre-fill insurance applications and investment paperwork for closing meetings
  • Scheduling medical exams
  • Completion and submission of applications/account paperwork for processing
  • Facilitate and assist in the creation of investment accounts and insurance policies, including data gathering and paper/digital signature requests
  • Handle complex insurance client service issues and process incoming client service requests including but not limited to: processing address changes, bank change information, loan requests and account inquiries
  • Prepare proposals and other materials as directed for client meetings
  • Participating in client meetings for financial or investment plan development and presentation
  • Managing team’s use of technology across all systems
  • Manage client correspondence, notes, and files, and maintain compliant client records
  • Cross-training with department roles

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Preferred 1-3 years of financial planning experience
  • Life & Health insurance license obtained within 30 days of start date
  • History of clean compliance record
